I am actually sorry I missed it this year. OK, I never watch these things, but this time around, not only did J Lo bust hers onstage:
But, Adam Lambert comes out in full swing:
Now, I am not going to come down on Adam for his performance. As far as I am concerned there was nothing wrong with the performance itself, but the fact that it was being televised live during prime time...not so good!
If he wants to do this at his own concert or even be more outlandish...more power to you. It's quite refreshing for a change to see a man objectify himself and the other males around him. But, on the other hand, there are families with young children, who watch the AMA's. I can't imagine having to explain to my 5 year-old why Adam is making out with another man or why is he dragging that blond lady all over the floor? or the other myriad of questions she would have had after watching that.
The way I see it is Adam can be Adam, and even on HIS own terms when he is performing in HIS own venue, NOT when it is being broadcasted live to everyone in the country at 8:00 pm EST.

A Good Positive Message for Women
If only all women were able to read this article and embrace it *sigh*

Pat Barry is my New Hero for the Day!!!
Truth be told is I never heard of Pat Barry before yesterday and for the most part, I am not a big fan of UFC. However, someone who wanted it badly and brought it is always worthy of admiration in my book. Mr. Barry was in dire straights financially, and was barely skating by before the fight. He makes no excuses that he put himself in that predicament and he was fortunate and driven enough to get himself out. He refused to go to others to bail him out in his time of need, and he prevailed...way to go, Pat!!!
